Married!! Michelle + Brandon at Holiday Inn Cambridge, Ontario

Hey Gang,

So before I left for Vegas I had an awesome time hanging with Michelle and Brandon on their wedding day.  Even though things might have started off rocky with our bride arriving almost 1-1/2 hour late the day still turned out to be amazing!  It was certainly cold that day but big ups to our wedding party for putting up with my crazyness! *lol*.  Michelle admitted to me that she was a little nervous about being photographed but after the engagement session she was a seasoned pro!  Michelle sweetie you look so radiant but I think Brandon said it best during the reveal!  Brandon my man! Congrats! I was honored to be among your closest family and friends! I knew during the e-session that you were a gentlemen but hearing all the speeches I could tell you've always been that way.  But the story about the fire was AWESOME!! When Michelle arrived from the hair Salon we were in a little bit of a rush.  Here mom was getting a little frustrated with the dress and commented on Michelle's bust size was not helping the situation *LOL*

Due to time restraints we had to do the reveal at the house....

But it was beautiful nonetheless!

Here we have a beautiful ladies! The guys wanted to do a cool shot incorporating this shades and we came up with this.

I still cant believe you were nervous, look at you girl your so gorgeous!

 and our little ring boy being his mischievous self *lol*  This was taking place during Michelle and Brandon's speech.

 We also found out that night that the Canadian men's hockey team had won the gold and that caused for some extra celebration!

 

Married!! Kathryn + Mark at Otellos Banquet Hall in Oakville, Ontario

Hey Gang,

I still remember the first thing Kathryn said when we talked about her winter wedding, "I hope it snows that day!"  Here wish certainly came true, even though it had been mild for the past two weeks prior the day of her wedding it snowed and snowed and snowed! *lol*.  The E-session blast but with past experience I was worried that I might be too cold on their wedding day for them, geez was I wrong! I gotta give a big-ups to our awesome couple and their wedding party.  It was cold that day I had three layers on and I was freezing!  But we all made it and captured some kick a$$ photos while we were at it too! *wink*.  I know, I know, I know I keep on saying this but I love it when my couples decide to see each other before the ceremony, its the perfect calculation for amazing photos!  After the photos we head for the reception venue, Otellos Banquet Hall where the ceremony was being held.  What a beautiful ceremony it was, intimate with the closest family and friends to witness their marriage.  Then the party began!!  You can check out the rest of the photos on my Facebook!

Anyone that knows me knows Im a shoe fanatic! So when Kathryn showed me her Red Boots I just flipped.  Yes Guys can have a shoe fetish too! *wink*

Married!! Sabrina + Gustavo at Elm Hurst Inn in Ingersoll, Ontario

Hey Gang,

I finally got around to touching up a few photos from Sabrina and Gustavo's wedding!  Like a mentioned Sabrina contacted me about 2 weeks before her wedding and Im so glad she did.  Sabrina and Gustavo wanted to have a reveal done at their wedding, have I ever said how much I love it when my couples see each other before the ceremony?  Well I do!  It gives our couples a private moment to express their emotions/feeling/love for each other, it totally rocks!   The reveal took place at Sabrina's childhood home, how cool is that!  While the ceremony and reception took place at the Super Rustic Elm herst Innlocated in Ingersoll.  I want to thank our uber cool couple for being so awesome, its so easy take photos of couples that simply enjoy having fun!  See you guys soon! *wink*

My Very First Album Design

Hey Gang,

Thank You Note :: Shelly & Jamie

Hey Gang,

We all remember Shelly and Jamie and their amazing wedding well I just got an email from them thanking me for my part in their beautiful day.  As I tell all my couples "its nothing, its just what we (Wedding Photographers) do"  We bust our a$$ off to get the shot to capture that one in a life-time moment.  As much as I tell my couples we only get one shot at it, I tell myself that 10x more.  When your not a cookie-cutter style of shooter and work strictly by those unpredictable, not stage, spontaneous moments you always have to be ready.  People say all the time that "Bassem you take such amazing photos"  NOT really, Im just there at the right time for AMAZING moments.

 

"Words can’t describe how grateful I am for you to be my photographer. You are more than a photographer, I consider you a friend, part of the family. Everyone in our wedding party and family felt comfortable around you, and we had an amazing time with you despite the cold weather.

You have a gift for capturing moments that would normally go unnoticed, yet they beautifully describe the mood and the moment will never be forgotten.

There are so many favorites, I can only imagine what is in store for us when we see the rest. One in particular is when Jamie saw me for the first time and he said WOW...thank you, I was hoping to see him say it and you captured it.

Hey Gang,

Once again Im sorry for taking so long to post this wedding but I figured everyone was busy with Christmas and the holidays including us! *lol*  When I first meet with a couple I typically ask them how they heard about us?  Shelly told me that one of her brides maid's had wanted us for her wedding but I was already booked and insisted that Shelly get me!  How sweet is that! Thank you Adrienne!!  And Im glad that she did! Shelly and Jaime were a perfect couple for my style of photography and what style is that?  Ive realized that I capture my best photos when my couples are relaxed, fun and in love!  I want to capture the "real" not the fake/cheesy crap but true events and moments that they will cherish for years to come.  And those moments were abundant at this wedding.  Big ups to our wedding party that froze their a$$'$ off but did not complain once and to our amazing couple, thank you dearly for allowing me to capture your wedding day.

In Jaime's family its tradition to have a tea ceremony.  This is Jaime's reaction to seeing Shelly for the first time that day, I just love how everyone was there to witness this moment!

Thank you email

Hey Gang,

I just wanted to share this email that I just got this morning from one of my grooms.  As wedding photographers we bust our butts off because we always know theirs no re-shoots.  You cant just say "well I'll get it next time"  as we all know their wont be a next time.  But to be honest I don't really think too much of it, that's just what we do as wedding photographers.  So when I received this email in the morning, first it felt real good! *LOL*  But it just solidified that we cant settle and we have to continue being the best we can for our couples.

"Hi Bass,

I don't usually write notes like this, but I wanted to thank you for the 'Bass experience' we witnessed on November 21st 2009. It was truly unforgettable. Everyone tells you to take mental pictures of your wedding day that you'll remember forever, most of mine were with you close by. My 3 favorite pictures of the 40 you posted were Jenny with the card from Spencer, Spencer and Campbell with their elf hats on (39)and Jenny and I dancing (40). These are unforgettable moments you have captured perfectly and I thank you for that. It was my job to put together the wedding intros, the first dance video was a surprise to Jenny. Walking back to the car after the photos downtown Stratford, I gave you a quick synopsis of what was going to happen on the big screen and you captured it perfectly. Married!! Jenny + Kyle at The River Garden Inn in Stratford, Ontario

Hey Gang,

Once again the weather gods were on our side.  On my way to Stratford it was looking kinda of sketchy all day but the rain held off and we ended up with a great day.  Have I ever said I love it when my couples see each other before the ceremony? *LOL* I know I say it all the time but its so true!  I usually get my best photos in these type of scenario, why you ask?  Simple! Were not rushed to get back to the reception therefore you can just enjoy your day with the person you love and your awesomeness wedding party like this one!  Big ups to my crew!  The wedding party was the greatest with really easy going guys and super hot girls!  Big congrats to our beautiful couple! Thanks so much for having me guys!

An old high-school buddy of Jenny owned this really cool pub downtown Stratford.  Is it me or does this shot have an "old school rat pack" feel to it?

This is so funny! Earlier on in the day Jenny had mentioned how she would love a shot on a tandem bicycle.  On our way back to the ceremony we spot this thing on the sidewalk and took a joy ride!  

Jenny & Kyle brought their puppy they adopted for 2 years as they train her as a seeing eye dog.

Married!! Shea + Rob at Victoria Park, Kitchener Ontario Wedding

Hey Gang,

I shot Shea and Rob's wedding a couple of weeks ago and once again the weather god's were on our side.  We have been so fortunate this year with cooperating weather it only rained when we were indoors or in the car driving to each location.  I first this awesome couple at Georgina and Peter's wedding a few years back and Shea nudged Rob at the reception and said "We found our photographer".  I was so thrilled when I heard that, they hadn't even seen the pictures yet! I remember when we first sat down to chat they warned me that they're bridal party was a wild bunch and they were absolutely right from racing down the highway doing 30 over to Brides Maids fishing for groomsmen to the maid of honor grabbing my butt they certainly was a wild time! *LOL*  I want to congratulate the most awesome couple, Shea you looked marvelous girl and Rob's reaction to you says it all!  Rob my man you truly are a sweet heart and real class act.  See you guys soon!

Married!! Connie + Chris at St. Georges Hall in Waterloo, Ontario

Hey Gang,

Thanks so much for coming back!  First off I gotta give huge props to our bride and her ladies for standing in the cold all day with me, I know it wasn't easy.  Connie and Chris had been together for a while so everyone was super excited for today including myself.  Connie you looked absolutely amazing sister and your dad's reaction when he first saw you said it all!  The wedding party kept on coming up to me all day and thanking me for the amazing time but its me that needs to thank you guys, I know it was cold but you guys didn't complain once and your such a riot!  But ups to my guys for being so easy going and to my man Chris, your so cool bro and its easy to see why everyone loves you.  To my bridesmaids you girls are "Fierce" (inside joke).  I hope you guys are enjoying your honeymoon and once again thank you so much for having me!  I also want to acknowledge the amazing job Lucy at Para Ti floral Boutique for the gorgeous bouquets and center pieces and to St. Georges Hall and a huge big ups to Jerry our DJ for keeping our guests bumping all night!

Hello!! How beautiful does this girl look.  Even better was the fact she's so comfortable around the camera, Tyra would be proud!

I just love moments like these, when a father gets to see his baby girl for the first time on her wedding day.

This is what Im talking about! It was about 5 degrees outside but our ladies didn't care.  Luv you guys!
